Staff for Chamber Service

The Riksdag Administration is an authority tasked with facilitating the work of the Parliament. Approximately 700 politically neutral employees work at the Riksdag Administration with many different types of tasks.

We are now looking for two staff members for chamber service, whose main task is to manage the service around the chamber. The position includes both independent work and teamwork, where you contribute your commitment and expertise in a service-oriented group.

Your Tasks

The work mainly consists of managing the service in and around the chamber together with others in the section. The tasks include:

• staffing the information desk outside the chamber
• staffing the office adjacent to the chamber
• sitting in the chamber to maintain order, fetch manuscripts, and assist at the podium during debates
• providing service to members, officials, and journalists
• conducting internal mail rounds.

Regular evening shifts are required.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• a high school diploma in a relevant field
• several years of experience in service work and in reception, service center, or similar roles
• good computer skills and knowledge of the Office suite
• strong proficiency in the Swedish language, both spoken and written
• current experience in government administration or politically governed activities.

We seek someone who is flexible, has good teamwork skills, and enjoys working in a group. You are unpretentious, professional, and meticulous. Our ambition is to maintain a high level of service and to provide a good reception to members, employees, journalists, and the public. It is important that you share this attitude. You are solution-oriented and accustomed to independent work and also have the ability to take your own initiatives.

It is an advantage if you have experience in operations with a high security level. It is also advantageous if you can communicate well in English.

If necessary, you will assist with other tasks within the service unit, such as switchboard, office services, and childcare. Therefore, it is advantageous if you have worked with conference technology, as a switchboard operator, or in childcare.

We will place great emphasis on your personal qualities.

The position is classified in a security class, which in this case requires Swedish citizenship and a passed security clearance.

We are looking for two people for permanent full-time positions.
